Who are they?

  • A vertically integrated power company developing a new model for delivering energy across the modern U.S. grid.
  • They combine utility-scale energy storage infrastructure with algorithmic optimization, dispatch, and power trading, operating across the full energy value chain.
  • Their model spans greenfield development, interconnection, construction, optimization, and commercial operation of distributed energy resources.
  • They are building and operating distribution-connected BESS projects in ERCOT, addressing transmission and interconnection constraints while bringing power closer to demand.
  • Backed by leading infrastructure and deep-tech investors, they operate in a highly entrepreneurial environment centered on ownership, speed, and execution.

What will you do?

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale BESS projects in ERCOT, from greenfield development and site control through interconnection, construction, energization, commissioning, and Commercial Operation Date (COD).
  • Take direct accountability for each project’s schedule, budget, critical path, and commercial operation date.
  • Build, maintain, and drive integrated master schedules covering land, interconnection, permitting, procurement, engineering, construction, utility activities, and commissioning.
  • Manage pre-NTP development activities and proactively identify dependencies or constraints that could impact project execution.
  • Serve as the owner-side administrator of EPC contracts, managing work orders, change orders, milestones, payments, scope, quality, warranties, and completion requirements.
  • Coordinate permitting and AHJ approvals with counties and municipalities and work closely with utilities, electric cooperatives, and ERCOT through energization and market entry.
  • Maintain project risk registers and status reporting, proactively escalating risks and recommending solutions before they impact schedule or budget.
  • Plan and manage commissioning, energization, and turnover to Operations, including as-builts, warranties, spare parts, O&M mobilization, and asset handoff to dispatch and trading teams.
  • Represent the project with landowners, EPC contractors, utilities, local authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong safety and quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Help develop and continuously improve project controls, processes, and execution playbooks as the project portfolio scales.

What are they looking for?

  • 3+ years of experience managing utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects through construction and commercial operation, ideally within a developer, IPP, owner’s engineer, or EPC environment.
  • Demonstrated experience personally owning and managing project schedules and budgets, including critical-path management and delivery against key milestones.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC contracts and owner-side contract administration, including scope, work orders, change orders, notices, milestone criteria, warranties, and liquidated damages.
  • Experience coordinating multiple project workstreams such as development, permitting, interconnection, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong project controls capabilities, including integrated scheduling, budget tracking, risk management, and project reporting.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through, with the ability to drive multiple stakeholders and outstanding actions through completion.
  • High level of autonomy, accountability, and ability to make decisions in a fast-moving project environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with contractors, utilities, landowners, authorities, and internal teams.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Texas.

Why join them?

  • Take end-to-end ownership of utility-scale BESS projects, with direct accountability and decision-making authority from development through commercial operation.
  • Work at the intersection of energy storage, grid infrastructure, optimization, and power markets in one of the most dynamic electricity markets in the U.S.
  • Join a fast-growing, investor-backed company building a vertically integrated model for next-generation power infrastructure.
  • Opportunity to help establish the company’s project execution and controls framework as its portfolio grows.
  • High-impact environment with significant autonomy and exposure to multiple areas of the energy value chain.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible PTO policy.
